Financial planning firm helps raise money for nonprofit serving families in Kansas City, Mo.
KANSAS CITY, Mo.—April 6, 2022—Prosperity Planning, Inc., was proud to participate in the eighth annual Strikeout Bowling Fundraiser held by K&G Striping on March 10 and benefiting Operation Breakthrough.
Prosperity Planning, a Registered Investment Advisor in Kansas City, helped sponsor the event. “Not only that,” said Operations Manager Jessica Hughes, “we got a group together and took part in the team bowling event.”
The Prosperity Planning team comprised Ryan Noble, Dan Reiter, Rachael Graf, and Colten Honigman.
“We had a great time,” Noble said. “We got to build team camaraderie outside the office, and we were thrilled to support a nonprofit that does such good work in the community.”
Operation Breakthrough is a nonprofit organization with a mission to provide a “safe, loving and educational environment for children in poverty and empower their families through advocacy, emergency aid and education.”
Roman Catholic nuns Corita Bussanmas and Berta Sailer started Operation Breakthrough in 1971 in response to requests for quality care for the children of the working poor. Every day, the organization serves over 700 children, ranging from 6 weeks to 18 years old.
Operation Breakthrough offers health and education programs for children and programming for parents, such as:
Early childhood education
Before- and after-school enrichment
SmartLab for preschoolers
Children’s Mercy Clinic
Dental clinic
Speech and occupational therapy
Music therapy
Parent education in child development and household management
Emergency aid
Housing
The benefit’s organizer, K&G Striping, Inc., is a pavement and parking-lot marking contractor in Kansas City. It holds an annual fundraiser to raise money for different causes that are meaningful to the company’s employees. Recipients have included March of Dimes, Head for the Cure, and the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
This was the fourth time that Prosperity Planning sponsored and participated in a K&G Striping fundraiser.
