Prosperity Planning’s Cindy Richey and Alyssa Hon celebrate with 2026 scholarship recipient Ian Gold and his mother at the Greater Kansas City Community Foundation’s Annual Scholarship Breakfast.

Kansas City, MO – May 1, 2026 – Prosperity Planning was proud to be part of the Greater Kansas City Community Foundation’s Annual Scholarship Breakfast, celebrating this year’s scholarship recipient alongside other Northland organizations committed to supporting students.

This year’s recipient, Ian Gold, a senior in the Platte County R-3 School District, reflects the kind of dedication the scholarship was created to support. Between AP coursework, football, baseball, and a part-time job, Ian has made the most of his high school experience while continuing to push himself forward.

This fall, he’ll take that momentum to the University of Kansas, where he plans to pursue an accelerated pre-law track.

Established in 2011, the Prosperity Planning Scholarship supports Northland high school seniors pursuing higher education. It’s built around recognizing students who consistently show up, put in the work, and take their goals seriously—both in and out of the classroom. Supporting students like Ian is one way Prosperity Planning continues to invest in the future of the Kansas City community.

It was a meaningful morning celebrating alongside other Northland businesses and nonprofits who share that same commitment. Seeing the impact of a community coming together to support students makes this a tradition Prosperity Planning is proud to continue.
